Summer School on Discrete Optimization and Network Flows

June 24 - 26, 2011

The purpose of the summer school is to give an introductory overview of several areas of discrete optimization with a special focus on network flows, to present new research trends, and to give students working in this or related fields the opportunity to meet and to get to know each other.

LECTURES:

Abstracts will be available soon. In addition to the lectures, exercises will be solved in small groups with solution sessions in the evenings. The language of the school is English.

AUDIENCE:

The school is addressed to advanced undergraduate students, graduate students, and young postdocs in Mathematics or Computer Science who are interested in optimization, network flows and related areas. Basic knowledge in combinatorial optimization and linear programming is assumed. Students of other fields are welcome to apply if they have this prerequisite knowledge.

APPLICATION:

The number of participants is limited to about 20. The deadline for submission of applications was April 30, 2011.

Application has been closed. You will be informed on the acceptance of your application by the first week of May.
