Conference Center Bedlewo

This beautiful center south of Poznan is situated in a 19-th century castle, lying in a great park. All participants will be accommodated directly at the center in comfortable rooms (single or double) with bathroom/shower, resp. See its homepage.

Accompanying persons/families are welcome; it is also possible to extend the stay at Bedlewo. For both possibilities please contact the office in Bedlewo.

Series

In the 80s there started a series of conferences entitled Geometry and Topology of Submanifolds in Belgium, France, Germany, Norway, China, ..; so far this series was extended by four conferences on Differential Geometry at the Banach Center in Poland in 2000, 2003, 2005, 2008, and several other conferences and workshops in Belgium, France and Germany, resp. Our conference continues this series.

Topics

  • Manifolds and PDEs (e.g. Ricci solitons, geometric solution of Monge-Ampère
  • submanifolds (Riemannian and affine settings, product submanifolds, Lagrangian and CR submanifolds)
  • submanifolds and variational problems
  • statistical and Hessian manifolds in relation with affine differential geometry
  • affine geometry on abstract manifolds (e.g. homogeneous affine connections)
  • Weyl geometries
  • special structures (Sasakian, Kähler-Norden, contact etc.)
  • curvature conditions including the decomposition of curvature tensors
  • discrete differential geometry
  • proposals of participants
Further information concerning registration, costs and travel can be found here.
