With this newsletter, we would like to inform you about activities of the members of our group at the upcoming Annual GAMM Meeting in Erlangen, remind you of the assembly of our activity group at that meeting, inform you about the annual meeting of MSIP in September, and pose some interesting job opportunities with the deadline coming up shortly.
Annual GAMM Meeting
The members of our group will organize the following events:
- Session S21 "Mathematical Signal- and Image Processing" with 32 talks, organized by Gerlind Plonka-Hoch (Göttingen) and Joachim Weickert (Saarbrücken).
- Minisymposium 4 "Linear Algebra in Compressive Sensing" with 4 talks, organized by Massimo Fornasier (München).
- Young Researchers' Minisymposia 1 "Multiscale Geometric Image Analysis" with 5 talk, organized by Emily King (Bremen) and Martin Storath (Lausanne).
MSIP-Assembly at Annual GAMM Meeting
During the Annual GAMM Meeting 2014, which will take place from March 10-14, 2014 in Erlangen, there will be an assembly of our activity group taking place on Wednesday right after the last talk of our session, i.e., at 6:30PM, in the same room which is K3-128 Cauerstraße 1, Room 00.151. Annual MSIP Meeting
The annual meeting of our activity group will take place in the "Waldschlößchen" near Goettingen, Germany from September 1-3, 2014 as a workshop dedicated to the topic of "Mathematical Signal Processing and Phase Retrieval". The organizers are Gitta Kutyniok (Berlin), Russell Luke (Göttingen), Gerlind Plonka-Hoch (Göttingen), and Gabriele Steidl (Kaiserslautern). Information about the scope and goals of the workshop, as well as travel, housing, and the program can be found at http://na.math.uni-goettingen.de/Sigphase14/Signal_phase14.html Registration is now open with the deadline being July 1, 2014.
