Travel Information

By car

Berlin - outer rim   Berlin - inner rim

If possible we kindly ask you to leave your car at the hotel. There is only public parking at the university and after 8 am usually parking places are very rare.

From Hamburg/Rostock (Autobahn A24):

At the interchange Oranienburg follow A111 in direction of Berlin-Zentrum. At the interchange  Charlottenburg get on A100 in direction of the Funkturm.

At the exit Kaiserdamm leave the motorway and turn left on Kaiserdamm (later Bismarckstraße). Go straight to Ernst-Reuter-Platz. Go half way around the roundabout and take the second exit on  Straße des 17. Juni. Look for a parking place. The main building is the second building on the right hand site, no. 135.

Coming from Hannover (A2) and Leipzig/Nürnberg (A9):

Go to the interchange Drewitz on the A10, there change to A115 (AVUS) in direction of Berlin-Zentrum. At the interchange Funkturm follow the signs to Wedding. At the exit Kaiserdamm leave the motorway and turn right on Knobelsdorffstraße. Turn right again at the next traffic light. Turn left at the next traffic light on Kaiserdamm (later Bismarckstraße). Go straight to Ernst-Reuter-Platz. Go half way around the roundabout and take the second exit on  Straße des 17. Juni. Look for a parking place. The main building is the second building on the right hand site, no. 135.

By plane

Airport Tegel:

Take the Bus X9 (bus station is located at the exit) and after five stops exit at Ernst-Reuter-Platz. The journey takes about 15 min.

Airport Schönefeld:

Take the Bus 171 to S-Bahnhof Schönefeld, then take a regional train or the S-Bahn S9 with destination Westkreuz, exit at Zoologischer Garten. From there you can walk down Hardenbergstraße, take one of the busses no. 145, 245, or X9, or take the U-Bahn U2 one station to Ernst-Reuter-Platz.

As an alternative you can take the Bus 171 to the U-Bahnhof Rudow, take the U-Bahn U7 to Möckernbrücke, then change onto the U-Bahn U2 (destination Ruhleben or Olympiastadion) and exit at Ernst-Reuter-Platz.

Both options take about an hour.

By train

Take any train to the train station Bahnhof Zoologischer Garten, exit there. You can either take the U-Bahn U2 in the direction of Ruhleben and exit at Ernst-Reuter-Platz, or take one of the busses no. 145, 245 or X9 and leave at Ernst-Reuter-Platz.

The journey takes about 5 min.
