Abstract :
We study classes of matrices defined by various normality properties with respect to an indefinite (complex) inner product. The relationships between many such properties, all of them equivalent to the normality in case of a definite inner product, are described. In particular, a ``canonical form" is developed for the class of matrices that are polynomials of a selfadjoint matrix.
