What kind of problems do you have?

Maybe the plugintutorials can help you:

Re: Errors when failing to set appearance attributes correct

Sorry, but I don't understand your solution. When I call the getAttribute function I get as class an Object back (class java.lang.Object). So I still don't know what kind of class (double, int, etc.) is needed.

Re: Errors when failing to set appearance attributes correct

Puh! This is pretty hard to debug. Since it isn't obvious to me what kind of string-"key"s can be set with the setAttribute-function. This are not only the ones from the CommonAttributes.class. I'll put this on the topic for the next jReality-meeting.

Re: svn: OPTIONS of '/svn/jreality': 403 Forbidden

Hi blueangel,

there is an old webstart for audio and win-32. It was built for a conference 2-3 years ago.

I don't have any other experience with audio and win.

Re: Any existing Kinect plugin?

You can find an xml-file at least for the nintendo wii at: de.jreality.toolsystem.config.chunks.toolconfig-wiimote.xml Johnny Chung Lee was responsible for booth Wiimote and kinect. Maybe the tools can be adapted similar. I've never used the wiimote for jreality, but Steffen did, hopefully he finds ...

Re: JRViewer frozen

Hi Highchiller,

this was a common bug in the januaryrelease, I compiled the code once more a couple of days later and forgot to announce it. We should find an other workaround for switching between the backends anyway...

Sorry for the inconvenience

Re: CAVE System troubles

So, I worked a bit on the ToolSystem staff. As far as I understand it, a trackd-deamon is running sending transformations to the server. These transformations are transformed to java-code via the classes at src-portal ->de.jreality.toolsystem.raw.***Trackd.java. In these classes you can find what yo...

Re: CAVE System troubles

We are using trackd: http://www.mechdyne.com/trackd.aspx for our tracking. There is a daemon running, which calculates the transformations. Depending on your setup 'Synchronized SceneGraph' or 'Synchronized Toolsystem' you have to add certain arguments to your applications. I'll check and try to exp...

Re: CAVE System troubles

Hi Emiliano,

the switching-bug should be fixed now.

For your wall-stereo question I need further information: What kind of graphicscard (nvidia quattro, nvidia consumer, ati) do you have? Do you have one graphiccard per wall or one per eye?

Re: CAVE System troubles

So, the first step is done. Together with Steffen, we have improved the jreality cave-demo and written a tutorial for "VR-Simulation of a single Desktop system": http://www3.math.tu-berlin.de/jreality/mediawiki/index.php/JReality_Virtual_Environment_Tutorial#VR-Demo_for_single_Desktop_with_Synchroni...

Re: CAVE System troubles

If I understand you right, then you mean with flap the lost part of your right screen. If so it shouldn't be a problem. You'll be able to deal with it via the config files. E.g. our Walls have an ugly 5:4 ratio. Try to find projectors able to display such a resolution. We had to buy some with 16:10 ...

Hi Emiliano, I haven't forgot you. I had a busy week and couldn't manage it to proceed with the tutorial. You will find the technical data for our cave here: http://www.tu-berlin.de/3dlabor/ausstattung/3d-visualisierung/portal/ Unfortunately the site is just in German, but I'll write the responsible...

Re: CAVE System troubles

Hallo Emiliano,

nice that you're using jReality for your CAVE-Setup. I'll try to update the CAVE-Tutorials among this week. There have been some changes recently. This update will probably solve most of your questions and what's left I'll handle afterwards.
