Re: OFF file loading fails with OSX SnowLeopard in tutorial

Hi ted, thx for your request. Its true, that this viewer can't read the dodec.off. Its also pretty weird, why he can't do that. I tried to load the dodecahedron with 3 different viewers which are all based on the used one and all could open the dodec.off. I I also tried to load an .obj-file with the...

Re: Improving the Eclipse tutorial?

Hi Ted, I don't understand your request. Do you want to setup jReality with eclipse? Or do you want to switch from subclipse to subversive? Your quoted post explains a solution for the second question, but then you ask if there is a newer way of getting started with eclipse... I'm a bit confused now...

Re: Unable to use jReality with SCILAB

Hi karuna, I tried to rebuild your first post from scratch once more with my linux system. Now I'm getting the same result like you. I don't know why I wrote before, that both projects are running if I add jReality to scilab. But now I'm quite certain what's the problem. jReality and Scilab are usin...

Re: Unable to use jReality with SCILAB

Hmmm, yes, you are right. The PATH-variable seems to be the "LD_LIBRARY_PATH"-variable for windows and the equivalent for the lib-folder seems to be the bin-folder in Windows. I've installed scilab with wine to check that. As far as I can remember I have an old win-xp-cd at home. I'll install it at ...

Re: Unable to use jReality with SCILAB

Finally I got it running! The missing link was found here: http://help.scilab.org/docs/5.3.3/en_US/javasci_faq_v2.html If the error is something like: java.lang.UnsatisfiedLinkError: /path/to/scilab/lib/scilab/libscilab.so.0.0.0: libsciparameters.so.5: cannot open shared object file: No such file or...

Re: Unable to use jReality with SCILAB

I also haven't tried to rebuild scilab. The makefile doesn't do anything else like generating the classpath and libpath, building (javac) and running (java) the example1.java . But I couldn't even run the example successfull. So I'll rewrite my question: Do you have a running eclipse-version of scil...

Re: Unable to use jReality with SCILAB

Hi Karuna, Sorry for the late response. I could rebuild your problem successfully ;) Unfortunately I couldn't build a running version of SCILAB at all, even without jReality. I tried it via the make-file, eclipse and terminal. In all three cases I got the same "javasci not found" error. Here comes t...

Re: Bad Rendering Result with the Jogl-Viewer

Hi Anke,

do you have this problems for other surfaces aswell or is it just for your car-example? Can you pls try another geometry aswell. If you get the same error it would be nice if you could post some parts of your code, so that we can easier rebuild your problem.

Re: What are the slots should I use?

It should now be possible to use control/alt + mouse. I've just tested it with my linux computer and there I'm not able to use it with alt+mouseclick, because the systemdefault for the ALT+Mouseclick overwrites the jReality default. Alt+Mouseclick is often the standard for moving a window around. So...

Re: What are the slots should I use?

I just tried to expand the inputSlots with an tertiary action. I've expanded the tool-config, too.

It wasn't possible to enable either CONTROL nor ALT. I'll talk to Steffen tomorrow, who knows more about the toolsystem.
