Spam email received from your web site

Hi received a spam email today from your web site saying

"You are receiving this notification because you are watching the topic, "Cannot make jReality work" at "jReality - the forum". This topic has received a reply since your last visit. You can use the following link to view the replies made, no more notifications will be sent until you visit the topic."

When I clicked the link, it took me to one of the messages I posted long time ago (1/14/2013) on your web site. Now I see that there is an additional improper content added by somebody else at the end of the message. I want to notify you of this breach of your web site so that you can take corrective measures. Please also let me know how I can protect myself so that my messages are not manipulated by unauthorized people. I also want to be protected from spam messages.

Thank you!
Karuna

Hi karunaMaitri,

our forum has been "hacked" twice in the last 72 hours. I'll update it asap to the newest stable release. Sorry 4 the inconveniences, but be aware that this may happen from time to time. You can't create a spam-secure forum. It is just a matter of time until the bots learn how to solve the bot-secure questions...

best
Andre

So, the forum is now up-to-date: 3.0.11 -> 3.0.12 (September 2013)

I hope that minimizes the spamattacks...

best
Andre
