Why don't the objects in VR viewer have reflections in floor

Post by jgpandit » Mon 18. Mar 2013, 23:36

Hello,

I have gone through the viewer and tried a lot of the content options, I have a question about the reflections. Why doesn't the object put in the scenario have a reflection in floor. The hills in the background reflect in the floor so it is supposed to show reflections. However the objects added do not reflect. Should it not have a reflection in the ground plain? Am I missing something?

Thanks,
-Jayant.

Hi,
yes, there are no reflections of the objects in the scene. Only the skybox is reflected. The objects also don't cast shadows.
We are still working on the new backend (jogl3viewer), where we want to include reflections in the terrain plane and maybe shadows as well.
Another thing that might interest you is, that transparency only really works in the new jogl3viewer.
