News:

  • For the session "Introduction to TensorFlow I & II", which also includes hands on sessions, a GitHub repository has been created under
    https://github.com/VigneshSrinivasan10/Cosip
It contains instructions for the installation of required packages and further course material. If you would like to actively participate in this session, we kindly ask to follow the given instructions and having everything set up on your laptop before the course starts. (November, 28)
  • The abstracts of the talks are now online and can be found under program. (November, 21)
  • Please recall that by registering for the workshop, you have agreed upon paying a conference fee of 40€ upon arrival at the conference site. (November, 1)
  • After a short period of time, the event was completely booked out and also our waiting list is getting longer every day. In the interest of your fellow researchers, we therefore ask registered participants to cancel as soon as possible, if you do not wish to attend the workshop anymore. An informal email to maerz@math.tu-berlin.de will be enough. (October, 30)
  • A first draft of the program is online. (October, 4)

Welcome

Welcome to the CoSIP Intense Course on Deep Learning in November/December 2017!

The workshop is intended to provide the younger researchers in the area of compressed sensing with the main ideas and mathematical concepts of deep learning. The event is closely related to the 3. International Matheon-Conference on "Compressed Sensing and its Applications", which will be held in the same place in the subsequent week (December, 4-8). Since this time an additional focus of the conference will be put on foundations of deep learning and since compressed sensing-type approaches will also be part of the second funding period of CoSIP, we aim to equip the upcoming generation of researchers with the necessary tools in this area.

The SPP 1798 - Compressed Sensing in Information Processing (CoSIP) is a Priority Programme established by the DFG in April 2014 with a starting date in April 2015. A particular feature of the program is that it aims at promoting nationwide collaboration of researches and supporting the academic career of young researchers through intense contact between different groups, workshops, and summer schools.

The workshop will be held from November, 29 to December, 1 at Technical University in Berlin.

It is organized by Gitta Kutyniok (Technische Universität Berlin), Maximilian März (Technische Universität Berlin) and Rudolf Mathar (RWTH Aachen).
