1.) Our Section at the GAMM Annual Meeting 2019
===============================================
Our session S21 on " Mathematical Signal and Image Processing" at
the Annual GAMM Meeting 2019 is this time organized by Otmar Scherzer,
Clemens Kirisits, and Gwenael Mercier from the University of Vienna.
One particular highlight will be the talk by the topical speaker
of this session Joachim Weickert (Universität des Saarlandes).

We would like to encourage you to submit an abstract for our
session at http://gamm2019.conf.tuwien.ac.at/. The deadline is
at the end of this month, hence October 31, 2018.


2.) Annual GAMM Meeting 2019 in Vienna
=======================================
The Annual GAMM Meeting 2019 will take place in Vienna from
February 18-22, 2019. There will again be an exciting program in our
research areas, and members of our activity group will organize the
following sessions:

* One Plenary Talks from our group:
Daniel Cremers (München) on "Direct methods for camera-based 3D
reconstruction & SLAM"

* Young Researcher Minisymposium on "Mathematical theory of deep
learning" organized by Rafael Reisenhofer (Bremen) and Philipp
Petersen (Oxford)

* S21: Mathematical signal and image processing

3.) Nominations for Annual GAMM Meeting 2020

This meeting will take place in Kassel in March 16-20, 2020. As usual,
we will have the opportunity to suggest
* Plenary Speakers
* Organizers of our own section
We would like to encourage you to take this opportunity and send us
suggestions by November 30, 2018.
