This lecture gives an introduction into computational and discrete mathematics, algorithms, data structures, and models of computation. In addition, the programming language julia is taught. Specific topics include

• data structures, e.g.,
• queues
• stacks
• arrays
• shortest paths in networks
• union find datastructure
• data compression and Huffman codes
• hashing
• dynamic and static search trees
• computability and complexity

Prerequisites

This course builds upon the course Computer-oriented Mathematics I.
